Ghostly Happenings in Cent, WA

I have a ghost story for you. My wife and her family and I were living in a house in Cent, WA. They told me that strange things where happening. I did not believe them until one night I was down in the basement doing laundry when I heard the door going to the basement open and I heard foot steeps coming down the steps. The foot steps came all the way down the steps and stopped behind me. I thought it was my wife trying to scare me. I told her that she was not scaring me and stop it because I have work to do. I could feel her right behind me. I turned around and no one was there. I dismissed it at first until it happen again two days later. One of the family members checked in to the history of the house and come to find out the house belonged to the first mayor of Seattle. After that it was a retirement home. People had died in the house. We moved out of the house two years later, what is strange there years after we moved out and the new tenants moved out, the owner of the house sold the property sold the house and land to a retirement community and hay tore down the house and built condominiums and it has been quite there every senates.
